Democracy means ?
by THANGAVELU on Nov 08, 2018 01:00 PM

Virat, you are a paid cricket player. Whether you play well or not, your packet is filled. But cricket enthusiast is not. Cricket is a game and not person based. Why do you like to play abroad ? Cricket has seen many people like you and moved on.... Do not demand anything but earn for everything.... Grow with age....Please enjoy with your fame and money... and understand that you are small dust in the game of cricket....

Virat -- Grow up
by baranikumar mahadevan on Nov 08, 2018 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

This message board is full of imbeciles who feel that we should support only Indian cricketers being Indians. This is just a game and nationalism has nothing to do with it. You want to be a true national then pay your taxes and be honest first and be more tolerant towards people of different communities, races and languages.

As for Virat - my advice is GROW UP. Or stop that twitter account. Or throw tantrums at home.

Virat is absolutely right. If the enthusiast has an opinion, Virat too has given his opinion. We are a democratic country and everyone can give his or her opinion. Nothing wrong about it. Just because Virat Kohli is the Indian cricket team captain does not mean that he cant voice his opinion

Virat is not giving his "opinion" as you said. Instead he has expressed displeasure on someone else's opinion and asked him to leave the country which he does not have the right to.

This guy is full of tantrums and his antics on ground are very irritating. He's only been lucky that he don't have to face the quality bowlers and fast tracks.

Supporting Virat is fine. But, dont you think , Virat should learn to respect the opinions of his critics. If he can answer this criticism by scoring very well in Australia and England.

If Virat's each favorites will be foreigners, that means he also does not like Indian star performers. Try to understand the sense.

Virat's comment vis a vis his detractor's
by Dibyendu Das on Nov 08, 2018 11:52 AM  | Hide replies

Virat's anguish is justified as the detractor insulted Indian cricketers. If that person had disliked only Virat's batting skill,he would not have bothered to comment. A few People are still enamoured with the white skin.

I think Virat should have been little more diplomatic in this matter. I think Kohili is more of a kind of hard working batsman which ofcourse brought consistency and he is not bating as freely as some other entertaining batsman like Shewag, Viv Richards etc. However he got the potential to play in a different way as well similar to these two, but he is capable of controlling such instincts and prefer to play an anchor role and hence controlling his shots to minimise the risks of getting out. Despite his superlative performances in one dayers and T20 matches, Rohit Sharma could not find a place in the elite club due to some of his tecnical flaws especially while playing abroad. He is the real match winner of the Indian team and can be even rated above Kohili when he finds the magic touch on special occassions. In the recently concluded onedayers against West Indies, just with the help of an extraoridinery innings he brought back the team to a series winning position. Till then West Indies were playing too good and was real threat to India winning the series. So all players got their strengths and weaknesses and not to get upset when someone criticizes you. Needless to say, Kohili is the most consistent batsman in world cricket at the moment eventhough he is not that entertaining as everybody expects him to be.
