Virat is definitely one of the best batsman in the world today and would keep on breaking records and records even of Sachin. But he certainly cannot get the tag of legend, because his career is not made great by facing the world best team or the best bowling attack. All these years since Virat and Rohit has been batting so well and creating records, one hardly finds an excellent talented bowler in the world who can torment the best of the batsmen like earlier day bowlers. Well, though no fault of theirs, its purely Virat's and Rohit's luck that has helped them to create records. Records become genuine only if you are creating it against the best bowlers. And looking at the cricket scene, it is unlikely that cricket will have class bowlers of the calibre of Australians, Pakistan, West Indies pace attack. Even the likes of Patterson, Starc, Mohammed Amir etc. who are considered good today pale in front of world crickets yesteryear bowlers. Had such bowlers existed, it would have been really a treat to watch Virat and Rohit batting.

Very well said! The overall bowling standards have come down considerably during last few years. Even the wickets all over the world has more batsmen friendly. That has helped even an ordinary batsman to score runs. Can you imagine Rohit facing bowling of Akram, Waqar, Shaoab, Macgrath, Ambrose, Walsh, Donald, Warne etc. even in ODI?

U r absolutely right. Kohli failed against Steyn recently n Anderson beats him 40 times in one inning but ign0rents d0nt understand this .. hd he played against the bowlers against whom Sachin played, by now he wu d hv been dr0pped :)
