Alan Wilkins did nothing of note as a cricketer in the county scene. But without any special talent as a commentator, he displaced a lot of former international cricketers. But what surprised one and all is his commentating along with Vijay Amritraj whose commentary is as fluent as his back-hand. Well done, Wilkins- at least for himself.
Those golden days are gone when commentators like Harsha, wilkins, Geoffery boycott entertained us. In these days the commentary is just pathetic. Whenever Harsha is on the Air, commentary suddenly looks attractive even now. But that was Golden period. Love you Wilko
