well then what will happen to a normal person.a normal person would get hit by the police even if might have not done anything and they will also ask money else the normal guy will be ill-treated even more. if anyone passing by were to look at this inhuman behaviour by the police. the police would shout at them to go away.

Assault by police and influential powerful people on common ones are just common in India that happens every second. Though the act is deplorable and punishable, all this media cry and publicity is only because its a celebrities wife. Even the prompt action by the higher ups in police department is only because she being a celebrities wife. Why this double standard by people of law. Is a female only respectable when she is a celebrity of celebrities wife. Unfortuntely the constable would not have known that she is a celebrities wife, else he too would not have assaulted her and in fact fell on her feet to ask forgiveness for the collision. These thngs will continue to happen as long as Indian mentality doesn't change.
