In all possibilities, same heading can be used for next year also

Till another mega auction, only minor changes we can expect, like releasing useless players and bringing some new untried players or some released players from other teams, but they will not be able to pick valuable players because other teams will not release them till another Mega auction. One thing I dont understand is why Karnataka players are ignored? I see every year one or two exciting players sold to other teams but not RCB. Every year Vettori watches Karnataka Premier League and he is aware of the talent, but why not going for them in auction? Also Aniket Choudhary who did not actually bowl last season, again picked by RCB just to bowl in nets, everyone knows he is a good friend of Kohli, so I think Kohli and Nehra are the ones who influence more on player selection than Vettori who just accepts whatever they say. I do not know if RCB ever wins title or not, but they lack some ingredients like middle order and strong lower order, not Mandeep singh and sarfraz definitely, and they lack quality spinners other than Chahal, especially they need a good left arm spinner, again not Negi kind of bowler. If they can correct these things, they will be much better than this current setup.

RCB

Just to remind, Virat is leading RCB for times immemorial..almost a decade. As of date, he has never won the IPL for them.
Second; look at performance of teams lead by our captain Virat & Vice captains Rohit & Rahane this time. While RCB & MI failed to make it to play-offs, RR entered curtsy other teams. (They were never contenders for playoffs on Saturday!)
Biggest mistake Virat did was not to utilize bowlers at his disposal...He always bowled out Chahal & Umesh in middle overs, neither keeping them for the death or go for a kill in initial overs. Ali was called in later stages...lets not forget Ali has won many games for his country..
I sincerely believe, Virat should follow Sachin & concentrate on his batting before the captaincy starts taking its toll on his batting abilities..

SUDHIR KOHLI
RCB's Downfall.
by SUDHIR KOHLI on May 20, 2018 04:09 PM  | Hide replies

Virat Kohli started it, in the last 2 games. He has failed on both occasions while opening the batting. His weakness against the Spin outside the off stump is very much visible. Too early in the Innings he's attempting cross batted shots, which is unlike him. In the game against RR, he should have played carefully and given a good start to the Innings and not expect ABD to always take RCB through. He's solely responsible for the defeat against RR. Virat's Leadership has been found wanting in this years's IPL.
Take a look at Kane Williamson, he has so coolly got the best out of the available SRH resources.

True. The captain has failed in his strategies !! If the batsmen fail then the bowling changes & fielding placements are crucial to win matches. MSD , Ajinkya Rahane Dinesh Karthik & Ashwin have showed much better captainship skills. They have far better at game reading skills .

He is captaining RCB for a decade & not won IPL once. Very poor captain. He has neither gone for a kill with his main bowlers nor kept them for the death overs. Unimaginably, he has bowled them out during middle overs!
Also, in a heavy batting line up, he never bothered to accomodate Ali, till the last..
