It was like hit every ball was his approach till last IPL season and this led to his failure. See what he does now. Playing a watchful game at the beginning stage with more emphasis on defence to preserve the wicket till some runs are scored and then slowly start accelerating. He can more than compensate for his slow start anytime after he settles down. Somebody might have guided him before as to how important it is to be a match winner than a crowd winner (earlier he was more thrilled to entertain the crowd than being focused in the game). Good luck Chris, you are a down to earth person and and you deserve to be in IPL for somemore time. Seeing you at the crease makes all of us happy.

Chris Gayle is not a great batsman. Its just because of his hitting due power that he gained some prominence and the media has unnecessary gone ga ga and hyped him too much. No wonder, no franchise was ready to buy him. Ofcourse his blind hitting helps but its too arrogant of him to say to Shewag that he saved IPL by buying Chris. Had he really been a good player, he would have performed well for his country team and won as well gained praise for that. T20 or ODIs doesn't need a player who plays without sense, but team needs a player who plays with mind. Credit to him would be when his game is crucial in helping his team win matches as well reaches the semis or final stages.
