Errrrrr...Only when you have doubts in the beginning whether your decision is right or wrong, you can say error of judgement. In this case, it was obvious you were cheating and it's not error of judgement.
Ofcourse nobody will pardon such errors, but the way smith and co accepted it and regretted needs to be applauded,, they knew it was their mistake and nobody threw blame on anybody,, i thought they were a good them. Hope this will be a lesson for everybody in the game for future

After being caught red handed, there's no choice but to accept your cheating intentions and express regret.
the one year ban is corrct.. they have to to bear it for the act of indiscretion. Hope they come back clear and rejuvenated . It takes great character to cry in public and admit mistake and it is a sign of good upbringing.

Very few and cunning people cry to sympathy.. I don't think Smith cried for sympathy, it happens, when we are put in such situation
Steve smith made a mistake nd humans make mistakes... Personally i feel the sanctions are too harsh... We all r going to miss a modern day test legend on the field... Hope he comes bk as the same player...
