Don't see Smith captaining Australia again, says Ian Chappell

well they committed a mistake and smith was brave enough to accept it so the matter ends there..banning him and warner for 12months is too much..again they should have been allowed to play ODI & T20 cricket. in all a very harsh decision by CA

For you info because of the acceptance of their mistake they've been banned for 12 months; otherwise they'd have faced life ban.

Very Sad. He has admitted his mistakes so he should be given chance again.He is a wonderful cricketer, world will miss him.He has high regard.

Sorry to see both Smith and warner out, for an event which has been going on for more than 2 decades, specially by Pakistan under Imran Khan, Australia under all teams, and South Afrika, with others like India, SriLanka(west indies & Newzealand exception for a small period). It was a chance detection and they have been punished. Is this a guarantee that this will not be repeated by any team?, no guarantee.

Trevor Chappel under his brother Greg Chappel did this against New Zealand in a One day international. Ian Chappel is the eldest brother of these two chappells.
