Mr Warne, I have always admired you as a great bowler. But as a critique of the game I am sorry to say that you are biased. The CA (Cricket Australia) was forced to take such a harsh punishment on the trio because your PM went all gun blazing at destroying the offenders. The judgement would not have been that harsher. I have watched the Aussies I have great doubt about the results there. Look every body i.e. the bowlers always get reverse swing by the help of the fielders. There are some players who do the trick for them. Now stealing is a great thing till you are not caught.Nowadays with all those cameras it is difficult. But then there may be some who can get away with doing something to the ball. That the Australian Coach has no knowledge of ball tampering is as the Indian PM don't know about the surgical strikes. Really funny. In fact I feel sorry for Steve Smith who being the greatest test Batsman of the game & loved by all and so young can give consent to tamper the ball. Lastly,I will say that cricket is no longer a gentleman's game it has been turned into a game of con man much earlier.

Ban by ICC

We have to understand that in this case it was team member's who were involved (Senior players new about it and asked a new comer to carry out trick) In other case mostly one individual was involved and could be spur of the moment on field hence ban were as per prevailing laws, (A case where team is involves VS Single player where other members were not involved)
More over if Australian PM, Cricket Australia their country is involved at large we should leave it up to them how to take action on their players

Really hysteria

What Shane Warne says is correct. There were 14 previous incidents (including two incidents of Indians involvement) of ball tampering before this and no one made such hue and cry. For ball tampering offences, ICC Rule Book says penalty of maximum one or two matches ban and upto 100% match fee cut. ICC followed this Rule in Smith's case and imposed a penalty more than anybody involved in 14 previous incidents.

But no one is satisfied with this penalty saying ICC is soft on Australians and seeking life ban for Smith and Warner which ICC Rule book does not permit. No one sought for such a penalty on the opposition captain du Plesis, who is a two time offender.

Indian former Players are also seeking the head of Smith. Why they have not asked for the head of Rahul Dravid when he was found guilty of ball tampering and was imposed a penalty of only 50% of match fees.

Smith was their captain and no.1 Test Player but Cricket Australia did not hesitate to take harsh action against him. I am sure no other Cricket Board would dare to take such an action against their captain and lead players.

Since Smith received due penalty, it would be better to leave the matter for once.
