No. He should be banned for life. He has put his country and game to irreparable SHAME. What if they loose the series. It is part of Game. This should example for BCCI

Actually, a permanent ban is appropriate.

There is always a difference in the rule book !! it depends upon cricketer from which country has committed crime ?? whether he is a growing star from third world country, then harsher will be the punishment so as to spoil the carrier of the budding star !!

Well said. Infact, you can be sure if an Indian had been caught BCCI would have banned him for life. Sreenat is a sufferer and so was Azhar.

Indian people no comments

People from Indian origin, please do not comment on integrity of Australian players and their internal matters. Australia is a first world country which serves its people.

Indian cricket players should focus on internal corruption on national level in India, there are bigger cheaters, frauds and manipulators in Indian corporate and politics. Then Indian players must look within BCCI, which has minted money through betting and fixing and money laundering and conflict of interest at every position where even supreme court gave a slap to implement lodha reform. Cheating, corruption, looting is in the DNA of Indian people. Please don't say in internal matters of people from first world countries

Smith and Warner should sooth themselves by taking inspiration from Indian shameless politicians who not only loot people, keep them poor but takes money from crony capitalist, serve them, bend rules for them and then on top of it to repay back the money taken from those crony capitalist businessmen they polarize society to win elections, so that they loot peoples money through corruption and pay back the loans they take from those businessmen during election campaign.

Have you done anything worst than this? Indian politicians are rank opportunist shameless people.
