Smith and Warner should sooth themselves by taking inspiration from Indian shameless politicians who not only loot people, keep them poor but takes money from crony capitalist, serve them, bend rules for them and then on top of it to repay back the money taken from those crony capitalist businessmen they polarize society to win elections, so that they loot peoples money through corruption and pay back the loans they take from those businessmen during election campaign.

Have you done anything worst than this? Indian politicians are rank opportunist shameless people.

Ban foe cheating

One year ban for cheating is not at all harsh. If too much leniency is exercised players in future will not hesitate adopting such fowl means. As such in my opinion-game of cricket shud be played in good spirit and punishment must be same for all-discrimination must not be allowed at all costs. In this case the ICC have been a bit too lenient on those 2 Australian players, but hats off to CA,who have held the dignity of Cricket by punishing these two players amicably.

I am surprised that Bhogle is saying " too harsh". He forgets that he was banned when he spoke against our Indian players. He should again be banned.

No punishment too harsh for cheaters

Aussies cheaters for long. There is conspiracy to change resukts of the match by hook or crook. If the same act was by a Indian Or pakistan there would have been a war of words for life banning. Many a time for a small breach Indian or Pakustani entire match fee was confiscated or banned for a match by white match referies. Now such a big fraud is done one cricket lovers and they say punishment is too harsh. It is hypocracy

Balanced punishment.

Smith was punished with (1) 100% match fee of 3rd Test, (2) removal from captaincy, (3) one year ban, (4) no leadership for two years from now and (5) no participation in IPL. These are all visible punishments.

Invisible penalties are: (1) loss of huge money from IPL, (2) withdrawal of present endorsements if any, (3) no future endorsements, (4) no guarantee for re-entry in national team if his replacements have stabilized their position in the team with better performance.

He has received what he deserves for his involvement in the episode. Calling for life ban is unwarranted as the above said penalties are more than sufficient.

As Harsha Bogle said, no other country particularly India impose such a penalty on their captain and senior players and no country including its Prime Minister call for their heads.

Australia has taken very good steps in this direction and it should also ban sledging by their players and then only Australian performance will be recognized by other teams.
