Pandya lacks consistency in batting. Staying at the wicket and playing on merits would help him rather than going to hit for each and every ball over the ropes
He is not trying to play straight and that is his main drawback. He is going the MSD way of trying to knock sideways for singles of even pitched up deliveries which can be sent over the bowler's head.He is not properly groomed as an allrounder.
Hardik Pandya is an over hyped cricketer. There are many talented cricketers in India who have performed much better than Pandya in cricket but Pandya because of his Mumbai Indians connection is getting solid support from people like Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri thus retaining his position in the team.
Pandaya is not the consistent player. In all formats of the game staying at the wicket assumes greater significance. He has to develop that art. Scoring good runs in some matches alone will not do any good for Pandaya in the days ahead.
