BCCI should learn to do simething different.
by Jayaprakash on Jul 25, 2018 01:13 PM

Big names not going to win matches and BCCI needs to give chances for youngsters than sticking on to the non performing old players. It is surprising why Dhoni quit test cricket and opted one dayers and T20s, it should have been the other way round. Test cricket is a much more relaxed game and test cricket is better suited for Dhoni at 37. The last two one days Dhoni played like test cricket and it shows his approach to the short form of cricket is changed and India should have given a chance to Pant in T20s and one dayers.

Pant's selection

It is good to see Pant is selected in Test Team. The captain and authority should cap him the Playing 11 right from the 1st test, and should continue with him at 3 test, no bother he make up or fail. At least he will analyse himself to spend time on the crease. this will help not only to him, but also the selectors keeping in mind the forthcoming world cup. Its a good decision. And the thing about D Karthik , he is selcted as replacement of Saha so it will better for the captain to opt and give chance to Pant ahead for D K.

RISHAB PANT"S SELECTION

It is time for India to step up young sters where ever required to groom them for long term as succession plan to replace ageing players. For ex Dinesh karthik also is 33 years old and now he got the opporunity in place of Saha as Dhoni dominated for a decade or so. Like wise if Pant is groomed now and given opportunities he will be potential replacement for Dhoni in all formats including tests. he should be given an opportunity atleast in one of the tests as he is a wicket keeper batsman
