Test Series
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Jul 18, 2018 01:02 PM

If the bowling is as ineffective as it was at Leeds, then we are surely losing the Test Series by a big margin.

Rahul s omission
by LAKSHMI NARASIMHAN on Jul 18, 2018 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

Rahul is a dashing opening batsman who did well in the IPL recently. He was treated very badly and we paid the price. Chahal and Kuldeep are not experienced. Jadeja should have been in the team for his all round ability. Kohli should have sent Pandya as a pinch hitter whenever we lost an early wicket. On the whole, India gifted the series to England

Wonderful logic when you lose badly Chal and Kuldeer become inexperienced .Be a sport and except that we lost to a better team and we are more of a "HYPED TEAM"

Team selection
by Sourav Chakraborty on Jul 18, 2018 12:31 PM

In the final three match series, there was no need to do any experiment as the primary objective was to win the series.Only Suresh Raina should have been replaced by K.L.Rahul. Even Dinesh Kartick who has not played a single match in England tour till date was suddenly included and asked to bat at No.3 position. Virat himself could have batted at No.3 and pushed Kartick at No.5. Rahul,Virat & Kartick would have been the ideal combination in the batting line up. Dhoni has suddenly slowed down a lot for reasons best known to him.

NO NEED TO DROP ANYONE , TEAM INDIA IS AT IT'S PEAK
by Shilpa Mehta on Jul 18, 2018 12:24 PM  | Hide replies

They have lost just one ODI series , & that too on ENG pitch. Team India has already won 20-20 series & will surely win Test Series . No need to drop anyone including MSD OR Raina . Fool are those people who are questioning MSD's or Raina's abilities . Remember, no player in this world can perform in 100 percent of the matches he plays .

Viraat & Bangar has already supported MSD & Raina , so we are no one to comment on this matter .

Home Tigers ENG has won on their grounds . Nothing great in this ENG team . If they are really strong , then why they lost 20-20 series ??

Team India has already defeated SA, AUS , NZ , ENG on their own grounds recently .

And moreover , No one has courage to drop MSD , not even selection committee .( As in the case of Sachin )
MSD himself will decide when to retire . Selection committee can only ask him about his plans , such is his immense contribution to Indian cricket .

Pitch always matter dear. We indians are expert on indian grass because it is thick and hard like you. Foreign grass is thin and soft hence we slip on these pitches.

Some Eye Openers from the ODI series against England
by on Jul 18, 2018 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

•      Rohit Sharma will seldom deliver in a crunch match , specially under pressure (including the Champions trophy final against Pakistan . He is preparing himself to hit a series of triple centuries against under sixteen school cricket team at Shivaji Park ground, Mumbai . In any case he performs only once in every six match and the grand old man, Sunil Gavaskar goes ga ga over it in the commentary box for his Mumbaikar connection.
•      For some inexplicable reason , on a spinning track, Krunal Pandya, a spinner allrounder was made to sit out and the rascal Raina, a spent force was made to play merely as a fielder
•      With only one batsman (Virat Kohli) and one bowler (Kuldeep Yadav) , you can win against minnows like Afghanistan and not against quality sides like England
•      Why do you need to carry so many fast bowlers with the team, when most of the times, it’s the spinners who win games for us ? Why incur futile travelling, boarding and lodging expenses for these bbeasts of burden?
•      Some players like Siddharth Kaul, K.L. Rahul and D.K. have taken an oath only to perform during IPL and not for their country
•      In spite of showing promises , these bunch of selectors, who themselves were below par cricketers will not try out youngsters like Rishav Pant, Shubhman Gill , Nitish Rana etc.
•      Not sure , whose brilliant idea is this yo yo test, which keeps top performers like Ambati Rayudu out of the team and paves the way for a spent for

Its sad that Ravi Shashtri is the India Coach. With so much cricketing brains and acumen you should have been the Coach. India would Never Ever Lose a single match as you have all the answers.

Let us make it very simple - England is a better side than India.
by Jayaprakash on Jul 18, 2018 11:47 AM

Good bowling combination, good batting line up, no heavy weights in the team like India have, everybody trying hard to win. That is England team. As far as India is concerned, a bunch of heavy weights in the team and even if out of form none of them are dropped atleast for one or two matches, over dependent on two wrist spinners but Chahal is not good enough for England conditions. England spinners bowled much better. Indian fast bowling squad is much more inferior when compared to England especially due to the absence of Bumrah.

India got a lot of talent, but only very few could make it to the Indian squad. Many in form players are ignored and out of form players are retained in the playing 11. The player himself should opt out in case he is not confident of himself and make room for others, other than continueing as a burden for the team. I am not not pointing my fingers at anybody but only expressing my dissappointment.

Agree... Few players in current India team are fit for IPL only.. Dinesh karthik, Dhoni, Raina,Bhubaneswar.... A player like KL Rahul despite his excellent ton in 1st T 20 was made to sit in bench ...Defeat was on card..
