odi and test are different...in tests batsmen will take their time and not try to score at 6 runs an over...also ashwin and jadeja are good batsmen...so if early wickets fall india can hope to reach a decent total...kuldeep and chahal are nowhere near as good batsmen as jadeja and ashwin...

In limited overs cricket batsman are forced to go after bowling, they can not waste a single over, hence the wickets fall. But tests are a different ball game all together, the batsman has a choice to block all deliveries. After a while the bowlers can lose their patience, they can get tired, their shoulders and wrists starts paining. Test cricket is not a piece of cake for everybody. I think India will be better off if they keep separate bowlers for tests and limited overs cricket. Ashwin and Jadeja are doing well in tests and both are handy batsmen too in tests. Without the burden of tests Kuldeep and Chahal will remain fresh and injury free for the upcoming world cup and could be India's trump cards.

In ODI and T20 limited overs and target is there so urgency of scoring runs is there. In test match you can play on for 5 days. In Test match there is a concept of draw.
