Successful people are judged by History. Few in Indian cricket have been MAK Pataudi, Saurav Ganguli& Dhoni & now Kohli who gave the belief that India can take on the world cricket on its terms.

There was no Dhoni Hand in Dada's removal, that discredit can to one & only Mr. Greg Chappell who broke the Indian team from Top one to mediocre
it was actually thanks to greg chappell that youngsters started to get place in indian team. he was the one who started india on the path of no. 1 in all formats of the game with emphasis on young blood..
actually because of this move greg was getting hated by senior players...but he continued with his policy nevertheless and the fruits of it can be seen today...
australians kicked him out of selectors post and see where australian cricket is today...

@sunil vaidya: Yes GuruGreg has given India so many superstars like Venugopal Rao, TP Singh, Raina (who is yet to cement his place in tem India after playing for more than a decade). No wonder why British ruled us for 200 years. Just because people like you

Nothing bad or good happened with Ganguly if we look at this neutrally. All great has to go one day or other. If Sunil Gavaskar being all time best test batsman (since test matches was major cricket during that time)of India & to my understanding second best test batsman (may be marginally after Barry Richards of SA),Ganguly also was no exception. Issue was that some non cricketing though took the decision whether Ganguly should play for India any more or not. That was unfortunate & should not happened.
