I do not understand what Mr Rai is complaining about. Typical auditor mindset - picking post-events! He had 11 months to change if he felt strongly about anything, but obviously he is not a doer. And Cricketers have an average active work-life of no more than 15-20 years from start too finish and being professionals they ought to play through the year. The programme was designed to let them have adequate rest and acclimatisation. When you perform inadequately - mind you they did not do poorly - do not blame the conditions.
I advise Mr Vinod Rai not to sympathise with the BCCI management for mis-managing the schedules. Why can't BCCI increase the number of players into their pool of A,B & C categoryas per requirement so that every individual player have sufficient time for practice. Further Mr Rai shud order to have bouncy tracks too so that our players get used to all type of conditions.More thrust to be given for test matches-this alone can improve quality of a player.
