Failure of Indian batting on S A pitches
by sunil kulkarni on Jan 19, 2018 01:14 PM

In all four innings strong (?) indian batting line up collapsed. This is just due to lack of practice matches before the test matches. it is BCCI's lookout to arrange 2-3 practice matches before the 1 st test on any away your. 20 years back it was a practice to arrange such matches. nowadays no practice match is being arranged. until then the so called strong batting line will collapse again & again.

What Great Ravi Doing? & Selection for Eng and Aus tours!!!!
by DrAnirvinna chivukula on Jan 19, 2018 12:04 PM

He is as confident as Kohli while leaving for Africa and why Ravi is keeping quiet. I would like to see what kind of changes happen in the team when they leave for England and Aussies tours

in both tests.
SA batting was big flop.
India let them off hook due to even more miserable batting.

Completely agree, our batting was pathetic barring Virat's first innings knock. If we had couple of batsmen who could stay at the wicket ,we could have won both the matches.Sadly, the batting calibre of this team is absymal in tests.

Fully agree with you. SA was in trouble at 12 for 3 in 1st inning of first test and 3 for 2 in 2nd Inning of Second test...where AB de villiers played crucial knocks. Had India got AB earlier, SA's total would have been much much lower. On both occasions, AB was involved in 100 plus partnerships which, eventually had great impact on the results of both the matches.. Still India could have won both the matches had our batsmen shown more determination against SA bowling which was not at all threatening. India'a pathetic fielding also helped SA batsmen to great extent.

GOOD FOR SA
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Jan 19, 2018 05:27 AM

With Australian series next some good batting against good fast bowling is nice - but understand Australians are in a different league as far as fast bowling is concerned and they are not bunnies against genuine fast bowling .As far as DE Villiers is concerned he is like Rahul Dravid -good bat ,great fielder and can keep wickets too - yes he is more attacking thanDravid but we need Dravid in every team
