Yes they should have been given time to settle down in south africa and to play one or two practice matches as generally visiting teams play practice games before they go for regular series. BCCI should have scheduled keeping in some time for acclamatising to the conditions in South Africa
Till India starts providing very quality fast and bouncy pitches in India for Team they will not able to give good results be it in SA,England or Australia. They or our future team will continue to get such drubbing abroad. So merely getting good run and victories on sub-continent pitches is not going to help. In the beginning they should be able to make 3-4 ground pitches as fast and good bounce so as to be able to develop technique accordingly and before going to any overseas series, team should be asked to play on such grounds to better prepared, otherwise we will keep on putting excuses for losses.
I feel they played really well. I mean did they lose the test match by an innings? or by 10 wickets? They fought hard and it is unfortunate they did not win. I was hoping for even worst performance.
