Congrats to Indian team .But we should nt go gaga over this as there are some serious issues with the Indian team composition. World cup will be in England so we should ponder the following points 1) Whenever the ball seams and swings Rohit Sharma is a failure. Its time tested. Unless he makes his technique more compact he would struggle in England 2) India is overly dependend on two leggies. In England where pitches are hard there wont be any grip for them. Although they may still bowl well but the may not be able to run through the opposition which in turn will put tremendous pressure on the third seamer 3) Pandya is very unpredictable in terms of bowling and batting. Unless he has a better technique he will struggle with bat and with ball. 4)Middle order no4 is a serious concern. Kedar yadav,Aiyar and rahane are very average and barring rahane the other two are pathetic fielders. Maybe KL Rahul or Manish Pandey may be tried out . Nagarkoti can be tried out as a third seamer. He has the pace and control to be effective.Plus hes an excellent fielder and a good lower order batsman. Hes raw but so ws waquar younis when he played as 18 years old his first test
Hearty congratulations to Kohli and his team. But the middle order is a top flop in this series. Only because of Kohli and Shikar in all the ODIs and Rohit in this ODI India won the series with a very good bowling by the spinners. Kudos to Chahal and Kuldip young and performing bowlers. They should be continued for few years so that with their combined effort they bring laurels. Middle order problems have to be sorted out. Instead of Kedar we should try out another spinning alrounder. Axar patel is not a bad idea and he can improve his batting to become genuine alrounder as he can bat well. Shreyas is a failure in both ODIs but may be he to be continued or Manish Pandey to be persisted or KL Rahul. Dhoni with his keeping is doing wonderfully well and also he is guiding young bowlers and that is his contribution. Better hecomes at no. 5
Kudos to India who won the match and series very comfortably and with all team members performing. On the other hand shame on South Africa who not only played badly but also unspiritingly. Never had South African team been so bad in playing all thro' with no strategy and negative attitude. South Africa might soon go down in cricket like West Indies, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Hashim Amla was the worst we have seen in so many years. What happened to him? Such a class technical player playing so unconvincingly and with no confidence and only worried about his score while he should have steered South Africa to a strong fight being a senior team member. And De Villers seems to be just riding high and over confident on his past laurels without taking the responsibility of trying to get a win for South Africa. No other South African player seems to be playing on international level. SA would be losing T20 also badly and no mercy should be shown by Virat & team. The South African team management and coach should be sacked for not nurturing good players.

team building and MSD. He would have played Mohit Sharma, Aswin, Jadeja, Raina consistently and made India loose this series too. His record outside subcontinent is pathetic

MSD at No.4 (or keep him out of team)?? :
MSD is the backbone for our team right now! He has proven this 100 times so far, & in current series too, he has been a constant performer, not only behind the Stumps, but as a morale booster & continuously as a teacher & support guide to youngster bowlers like Kuldip, Chahal etc.
When all the team new members fail, he stands there right in the middle, to save the image of the nation!
People advising that he be kept out of the team, will have to correct their mindset, since for next 2 years, he has full strength to perform gallantly for India, without any doubt.

As a batsman Dhoni has lost charm n energy. He is afraid of playing shots. Closely watch his play. This May be because of Age. We appreciate his contribution.
Now there is hardly any doubt that this is the best Team India to tour abroad. Really like the agression and intensity in body language of the team. Also the best part is no team will risk a green top against India as we have better fast bowlers than most teams in the world, which was never in before. And our spinners are always world beaters and we have the best batsmen in the world the Greatest superhero KOHLI!

The euphoria of a win can mask many short-comings. The running between the wickets has some serious flaws. The fielding still remains a concern. Shreyas Iyer has a long way to go.

Well said , they can't use win to cover up the things. Rohit think is main culprit. First he played too slow , which is typical of all Mumbai batsman they play selfish game . And immediately after scoring his century he got out . where as expectation was that he will now at least increase the run rate. Specially when he got two batsman run out. its their luck only which helped them later on to win otherwise runs scored were not enough.

Yes, senior player like Rohit being the culprit for the two run outs. Does he need a training on basics like not to keep watching the ball but look at your partner for timely response?

; if the ball goes behind the wicket , it is non-stricker's call and when the ball goes front of the wicket , it is the batsman's call. On both counts Rohit was in error as he kept watching the ball instead of his partners ; who were more than half way down.

it is clearly Rahane and Kohli's problem running without seeing the ball. On both occasion, if Rohit had replied, he would have got out.

And we should also decide whether we need an opener who "consistently" follows every century score with around 5 scores of less than 20.
Instead, should we not look for a predictable contribution of 40 or 50 from an opening batsmen?
