Were the officials afraid of not being provided lunch (by the hosts) in case the match was over before lunch? Could that have been the reason for extending the match beyond lunch time?
It is ridiculous to drag the name of Public Sector Banks in order to mock at ICC rules. On many occasions we have seen Bank cashiers/employees completing serving all customers just before breaking for lunch.
Rules have to be followed. What if a captain did not agree. Even Umpire has limitations and does not want to be questioned later. Making fuss about nothing. It was Sunday game and people also basked in sun for little longer.

When people do not have knowledge, they sound buffoon like you. Match referee has power to intervene and that's not done yesterday. That's why this fuss!
