His contribution is not less to puraja. He was instrumental in taking cream of the first three wickets in the first innings and two of first three wickets in the second innings. His score and partnership with Pujara was instrumental in getting the lead. The foot mark on 5th day was for right hand batsman and he had to bowl for left handers. Ball was slow off the pitch and if it had been not for him the match would have been lost because the speedsters were taking wickets but giving plenty of runs and he effectively sealed the run flow from one end. Nathan Lyon did not take wickets but was gifted with the wickets by the tail and not because of the pitch etc. The prejudice against Ashwin is obvious and he does not care since he believes in contribution to the team

Comparison with Nathan is unjustified.... to speed up score Indian batsmen lost wickets whereas Australian batsmen have to defend n survive... there was no necessity of playing rash shots.....
Only for the 300 odd runs by the two defiant cricketers - Pujara & Rahane, only for the x factor of Bumrah, only for the waning Australian team The game was close for bad team selection leaving out Hanuma in a spin-friendly track
1. Biggest mistake as I said earlier also : AUS planned ONLY AGAINST KOHLI but Pujara & Rahane ruined them .
2. Can AUS beat India in India by 31 runs ?? NO NEVER . Here they gets routed by an innings & 31 runs . POORT AUS
3. As I already said : No one asked AUS to drop any player . They are free to select anyone . OR Whatever team they play with will be considered as their A team . NO LAME EXCUSES . As if AUS played with nine players in absence of Smith -Warner

India played well, but somehow puzzled at how Finch ruled himself out when he had two reviews at disposal....
hi-I see a slight prejudice/partiality in the report card reg Aswin.Remember he got 6 wickets in the match,scored 25 runs in partnership with Pujara-that drove India into a safety zone.He also bowled almost 50 overs on the trot-which will drain any bowler.Perhaps the 5th day wicket was slower and the footmarks were less vicious.-Nevertheless it's was a gutsy effort from Aswin.-G.Muralidhar
