Statistics Reveal all
by mandar borwankar on Dec 04, 2018 02:59 PM

The above mentioned statistics gives a clear picture that compared to India Australia performed better in India. Australia won 13 tests and lost 21 tests in India. While India won just 5 tests in Australia and lost 28 test. If India wants to better this record they will have to win in Australia consistently and grab all chances which come their way. India has lost majority of overseas tests chasing target of less than 200 runs in 4th inning.

India has to win the first test in a series so that they build confidence and win the series. Otherwise same old story of India losing 4-0, 3-1 or 3-0 etc. All batsmen should contribute otherwise it will be only Virat Kohli. In one WI Vs SL test series which happened in SL Brian Lara scored 500 runs in 3 test series but still WI lost 3-0. Hence entire team should contribute. Bowlers are doing a good job but they should not relax after taking wickets otherwise it would be difficult to stop overseas batsman from scoring high runs. Nothing is impossible but yes approach needs to be changed. Everytime you can't give excuses that we did not played bad or this is best performance in overseas. Winning test series is everything

Under Series results, for years 2000-01,2003-04 and 004-05, you have inadvertently mentioned the name of India's captain as Sachin Ganguly. Please change it to Sourav Ganguly - one of India's best Test/ODI Captains of all time
