Well done Hardik. But we should all remember that comparison with Kapil at this early stage is not apt. Kapil was a journey, went on to become highest wicket taker at his time, most fit player ever India has produced, never missed a test or ODI due to fitness issues. Only time he was dropped was at the insistence of Gavaskar, who as Captain wanted to give him a lesson.Plus the support he had from other end was Karsan Ghavri and later Manoj Prabhakar. But these number two bowlers do not really fit the bill at international level and may not even find a mention in fast bowlers category! Compare them with Imran/Wasim/Waquar Yunnis/Sarfaraz or Thomson Lillee etc. Today India has Genuine pacers in Ishant,Bhuveneshwar,Yadav,Boomrah,Sami. All high quality stuff and Pandya comes as a useful change. Pressure is not the same a main strike bowler. Similarly when Kapil came on ODI scene no one took India seriously. He and Mohinder Amarnath carried the team on their shoulders despite everyone considering team as a joke- i mean criket experts and commentators at that point of time!! But not to take anything away from Hardik,it too early to put Kapil Dev on his shoulder.
