It broght back the Karishma...i enjoyed as a 19year old without the understanding of the game but nevertheless very passonate about the game....I stillremember Gavaskar made &&4 runs in 4 test matche and Dileep sirdesai made more than five hundred runs.....The bowling of ChandraSekhar in the 3rd and last test against england at oval resulting in series win for india....It washeady those days it still is ..today wheni am 66....The intricasies revealed By the great wadekar ,,,tremendous and it seems now it was so easily and well executed...Hat food the great indian men...

I give my "Pranaam" to the great cricketer and the great captain of our team who made history by defeating the West Indies who were considered formidable those days. (If I am not wrong) This was the first time when we won a test series outside our country. Undoubtedly he was the back bone of that successful tour and that gave a lot of confidence to the Indian cricket team for all the years to follow. May his soul rest in peace!
What is wrong with my piece, SOB! A wonderful 'recall' of memories. Had Wadekar like people continued now, the pitiabled plight of England tour could have been averted. The holiday-girlfriend mood would have been changed and 5-0 result would not be staring t these high-fliers and lesser mortals would not be playing. Where are those high-class fast bowlers now, may be fast but no class, and where are those class spinners like Chandra, Venkat, Bedi, Prasanna to trouble the batsmen?, and above all, a Manager / Coach like Wadekar, not these Sastri-Bastries!
