It is annoying that some one compares kapil dev with hardik padya. Hardik has not achieved any thing in international cricket. His place in the team is itself doubtful . He is fit for nothing. He is not only arrogant but disrespects seniors just becuase he has the backing of politicians. He has no focus towards cricket. His brother is very much grounded.
Pandya has a long long way to go and accomplish before we can even think of comparing. At the moment both his batting and bowling is just about average. So let him settle down first..
Comparing Kapil Dev against any of the existing all rounders is sheer madness. To me Kapil is the greatest Indian cricketer because he batted bowled and fielded amazingly. Those were the days of truly great fast bowling on tricky pitches. He hardly missed a test match because of injury or fitness. He is as a great a player as Sunil or Sachin and perhaps greater as he was an all rounder.
even to think of comparing hardik with kapil is the joke of the century as kapil is and will remain the best cricketer India ever produced so donot out pressure on a ordinary skill
No one could be compared with Kapil Dev. Those who has not seen India became 1983 WC champion, please note Kapil Dev is the cricketer who taught us that we also can won limited over cricket. This kind of comparison is dangerous for the game. Any bowler of the world was afraid while bowling to Kapil & any batsman was afraid to face poison of his outswing. Similarly no Indian batsman could be compared with Sunil Gavaskar who scored so many runs in west indies without having any helmet & never got injury & remember those Caribbean fast bowlers. That's called technique. Both Gavaskar & Kapil are all-time best for India. Sorry no comparison.
Pandya should have promoted ahead in place of rahane during 1st test vs eng. to make work easier for india with brisk quickfire 50 runs like kapil or many others always hit on such previously.
