Though statistics may speak of heroics, its only his luck and dead pitches and probably weak bowling attack that has helped him to make such huge scores, else he doesn't play one single proper cricket shot which can impress any cricket lower. its only his power that speaks. And he is one of the worst cricketer even by attitude and arrogance. Had he been even an average good batsman, he could have played for his nation and done wonders for the ever down West Indies team. He is only scoring runs because IPL is all about money and nothing else. Ofcourse he does give value for the cricket lowers but only when he is in good knick and hits loads of sixes. But everything is just a flook because any really smart and intelligent bowler can take his wicket or fool him. A player becomes good only not just by hitting sixes but by the way he bats and there should be certain beauty in the batting, bowling, fielding, running in between wickets as well body language.

This is extreme comment :) Just for sake of criticise, you can't taken away his acheivements. Hitting sixes like routine task is an ability, even without moving his foot. Though, he is not as successful in other format and international T20, but he is the boss in T20 leagues( IPL, BigBash, BPL etc.)
whoever in receiving end under gayle storm, are not smart and intelligent bowler? Like Rashid khan in couple of matches before?
So, don't speak like a coach/ or cricket expert. Be a normal cricket fan and enjoy cricket :)
Yes he is greatest batsman only if he bats on dead Indian pitches, where there is no bounce and swing. outside the subcontinent he is the worst batsman.

I'm not a great admirer of Gayle, but he's played on the same dead pitches as others ... and he scores while they don't ... so there must be something special.
