Though majoritarian of Australians are nice people, still when get into a group, they behave differently .. They have that invisible sense of superiority and have pride of being winners especially in sports and any activity which is physical in nature.. Hard truth is they can't accept defeat and want to win at any cost.. Americans though have same feeling, they spell out loudly when they are in group or drunk. Australians don't show this publicly and practice this when needed.. This cheating episode is a reflection of this social behavior of Australians.. Nothing unusual about it.

Rightly said, this incident only convert into a cyclone because the episode was constantly focused upon by cameramen and aussies ended up caught red handed. Otherwise it is practice mastered by them form long times. They got sketched free either by pity regret in some time and overlook on rest of the times. So they are not going to change their method of playing on the grounds with mix of talent, sledging and cheating though we may witness another version of this mix.
