The action of ball tampering was done in the heat of moment. The motive was to not succumb to SA and uphold Australian supremacy. Hence ,CA's action of banning for 9/12 months is harsh. They deserve to be treated rather lightly.
The Game of Cricket has become really big today. The money in it and the need to win at any cost is what's really hit the game and players. Its the media hype and the public adoration of Cricketers which gives the Players a sense of invincibility and they feel defeat is bad. Winning and loosing are two sides of the same coin.
It's not just the players, Media is to blame , we the spectators and public are to be blamed as well.
The media in Australia is as bad or good as anywhere else.
But its time for the Public not to be carried away too much by victory or defeat and treat players like human beings who are prone to failure and also lured by advertisements and rewards galore.
It's time to forgive Warner, Smith and Bancroft and move on.
