When you have no knowledge of cricket then you should shut up and do not make a fool of yourself.
Commenting from armchair is very easy. Cricket is not only a game of skills, it is a game of strategies too. They are international players and know very well what strategies to be applied and when.
Spinners were not getting any turn but the pacers were getting lot of swing and bounce and hence Kohli used only pace. The playing conditions can be gauged only by those who are playing in the center and not by the viewers, especially television viewers. For example can you see the the cracks on the pitch, can you feel the dampness of the pitch or the ground, can you feel which way the air is flowing, can you feel the humidity, can you see the the expressions of the batsmen before and after the ball.
There are so many things which are considered before taking a decision. Nowadays, it has become more of chess game. The team which can make better strategies based on the prevailing conditions will win the match.
India has almost won the game due to its pacers. Now the Srilankans will fear Indian pacers going into next game, what if all three pacers fired (Umesh was a bit out colour) together. They have not faced the spinners, so they can not formulate any strategy against them going into the next game.
Sri Lankans were in the dominating most of the time in the test match but the last session of the match might have jolted their confidence going into the second test match.
