the older legends might have felt uncomfortable...but chappell introduced new blood in indian cricket ...gave them exposure confidence experience and laid the seeds for india going on to become no. 1 in all formats of the game...
it was kirsten who ran away with all the credit...not that he did not deserve any but along with his own he also got the credit that should have gone to chappell..

Agree. Dhoni's T-20 world cup winning team was the result of Chappell's vision. All the players were his selections..

yes...thats what i think too...it is my opinion that if not for chappell we would have played the t20 wc with older generation legends and we would not have won it...in fact i also believe that the tri series in aus would also have had players ganguly vvs dravid etc...and we would not have won that eithehr...

Wc 2007 (T20) was won By Yuvraj and Gambhir. Where does Guru Greg's vision comes from. Cricket illiterates are increasing day by day

Wrong on all of them.
Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer khan, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Dhoni and Gambhir all came to the team years before chappell and were already stars. Kohli came into the team 2years after chappell left. Only Raina was Chappell's favorite.
Chappell destroyed both Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel by asking them to decrease their pace. First get your facts right before giving credit to anybody and everybody.

What new quality blood did chappell introduce? He destroyed Irfan Pathan who was playing wonderfully before chappell became coach. He decreased the pace of munaf patel.
Look at the 2007 WC team, the people chappell introduced were Suresh Raina, Sreesanth and Dinesh Mongia. We all know how those guys turned out. The test victories had nothing to do with chappell, and everything to do with Dravid.

chappell did not destroy irfan pathan...irfan pathan himself has clarified that...
in fact irfan pathan has appointed greg chappell as mentor for his cricket academy...that says a lot about chappell...
new blood groomed by chappell like gambhir dhoni raina pathan praveenkumar rp singh etc...have done a lot for india even if you dont want to accept that...

ST was so so frustrated with Greg Chappel so was Sourav Ganguly. They both had enough reasons to kill Greg Chappel if one were allowed three murders in a life.
chappell may have made some mistakes...who does not...but overall his reign was important for indian cricket...and indian cricket gained more than it lost...

Greig Chappel was the worst ever Cricket Coach India ever had and I think he had specific mission to demoralise the important players. This third grade Australians did not deserve to be a coach of Indian cricket team.

He took a team that was at the top of the world, and got them to exit the 2007 WC in first round. As soon as he left we started winning again.
He did not develop a single player, and destroyed many promising players like Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel.

chappell era was successful era for indian cricket ...we even won 2 away test series...17 odis consecutively while chasing...odi cup was the only failure...apart from that everything was good...
he introduced young blood in indian team and he laid the foundation because of which india later became no. 1 in all formats...
