But the contrast in shades comes into view when it is remembered that while Australia has won 4 test series in India (the latest in 2004), India has not won a single series in Australia despite trying for more than 60 years !
While Australia has done creditably well in this series in India and could even stand a chance of winning it despite rank turners being prepared to suit the home team bowlers, it is a fair guess to say that India, on its return tour to Australia, will in all probability be swamped out of sight on the fast and bouncy pitches there !
Team India won by the skin of their teeth & it was thanks to the toss & then a dry, unpredictable pitch & some dodgy umpiring. That win doesn't inspire confidence unlike the Aussies bashing us black & blue in Pune. Indians were plain lucky & could be defeated either in Ranchi or Dharamshala if they prepare rank turners. However Starc's injury means that the balance tilts towards the Indians as he is a phenomenal presence in this Aussie line up & he put super brat Kohli in his place with him unable to get bat on ball.
