Last match's pitch was a bad pitch, you can't have it turn from the 2nd over of the match. It was decided by the toss. There's something in between - sporting pitch....if we are #1, we should be able to play that. Else we don't deserve the Numero Uno tag.
this desi coaches in India always give preference to past. What is the harm in giving chance to a inform player rather than a out-of-form player? Also Rahane is a waste talent like Rohit Sharma.

Why go with 5 bowlers? We could have had Karun instead of Ishant (highly under bowled due to pitch conditions)

This is the problem when coach is a nice person than matter of facts guy.India is now staring at the prospect of going down 2-0 as it is very difficult to motivate a side so badly beaten in short run.Kohli like him also needlessly defended Ashwin in post match PC after his criminal bowling act on such a wicket.
