THING IS

in batting, there are too many options available. Kohli is not indispensable. So, how does he get to wield so much power? That's baffling indeed.

As a player, we need Kohli for India team. Captain? No - we could give a chance to Ashwin or Ajinkya to lead until Kohli becomes sober. Arrogance and aggression are not same and Kohli is more of arrogant.

Coach???

Whatever Mr Prasanna has said is perfectly true. There is no need for a coach in today's competitive environment as Virat is much more capable, potential and competent enough to shoulder upon the much needed multifaceted responsibilities besides being aggressively well-composed and focused Captain who very well gels with the team members and binds them to achieve the desired result. He has matured and understands each of his team member's strengths and weaknesses.Give him space and time to exhibit himself. its high time we should change ourselves and think out of box, away from the existing coaching system for the betterment of future.Money should not be the factor every time for everything.

He is an egoistic personality. Inconsistent while batting in pressure matches. The final of ICC trophy is a classic example. After having been dropped of the first ball, he fell to a silly shot next ball itself. He does not deserve to be a Captain. As Gavaskar said, if some players advocate that Kohli should be dropped as Captain / Member of the team, what will happen

About Coach

I agreed the argument presented by Prasanna, Kohli ofcourse a very good batsman, but he has no control over ego, still he is in learning stage, he should learn from Dhoni, Kumble no doubt a very good for me, but the playing eleven in final of ICC was depend upon captain but not on coach.

Really it is very sad. If a person do not respect his coach/guru, he never can be successful man. Although Kohli is a good batsman but i do not think he could be good captain. If a person do not respect a guy like Kumble, who is a legendary bowler of the country, it is the way of fall for the Kohli because arrogance is the route of downfall.

BCCI should replace Kohli from Captaincy and continue with Kumble
by govindarajan kuppan on Jun 24, 2017 11:41 AM  | Hide replies

Fully agree with Prasanna. Kohli can not be bigger than BCCI and similarly, he can not bigger than the COACH even if he scores tons of runs. Team performance matters. Coach is responsible for the results and normally taken to task and replaced. Here the Captain behaves differently and a well performing and deserving gentleman leaves the position of Coach and BCCI behaves like a spectator. Kohli deserves to be replaced as early as possible.
