1. For those making a big noise about Kumble's success, take a look at his Win% stats vs Ravi Shastri as Coach : Tests - Shastri 62%, Kumble 70%; ODIs - S 43%, K 61%; T20s - S 70%, K 40%. Is there a big difference ? Yet, nobody shed a tear when Shastri exited, whereas emotions are overflowing for Kumble.
2. Rewind 10 years ago - Greg Chappell blasted the Indian Seniors (Tendulkar/ Dravid/ Laxman/ Ganguly) to improve their fitness/ work ethic. He was wrong, but when Kumble blasts a player, he is right.
3. When no clear facts are known about the Kumble - Kohli spat, why is it all Kohli's doing ? Apart from Kumble's resignation message 2 days ago, is there anything at all which either of them has said in the public domain ? If Kohli expressed his reservations to the BCCI/ CAC, what is wrong ?
I guess when a controversy breaks out, the flashy/ seemingly arrogant guy is at fault (Shastri/ Chappell/ Kohli) and the quiet gentleman is right (Tendulkar/ Kumble).
BTW, there is an interesting article in today's newspaper about Coaches & Captains. In 1996, Kumble was rapped by Coach Sandip Patil for playing an irresponsible shot which led to India's loss vs Australia in an ODI. This was not liked by other seniors like Tendulkar and soon enough, Patil was sacked. How the wheels have turned !!
All coaches wants their team to follow the regime set by them. But Virat who is again highly rated by BCCI thinks himself above all in deciding the Coach and who would sit even in commentary box. These are the sign of success gone to his head.
He is going the Kapil Sharma way who thought the same way and brought back to the earth by people.

Yes success has gone to his head and he is behaving like Kapil Sharma only
Why so much hatred towards. Only one game he lost. Please think about it. He came in final played well in many games also. Why so much hatred towards Kohli and all of sudden you develop love for Anil Kumble

Because he is useless captain who does not even now what correct decison to take after toss....he behaves with immatured ..he has not discussed properly with kumble....

How can you say that he has lost only one match. He plays well in all matches. There might be some ego problem between both. But how can you say without knowing the fact that kumble is right and kohli is wrong

NO, by losing the final of Champions trophy to Pakistan and in such a tame manner he has lost much more than 'a match'. People will realize its damage in the years to come.
In 2003 Sourav too invited Australia to bat in the WC Final on a belter of a pitch. Virat had history to look up to if not tactical acumen. He forsake both.

i dont think the point is to be about: the hatred or love. its about the following coach and respect his work to the team. Moreover there is no comparision between the two. One is coach. He coaches the team. Kohli is one of the team members. In other words he leads the team and represents the team for the country and on the play ground. A coach has to influence the BCCI rather than the captain. But the sad state of affair is captain is influencing the BCCI officials. I don't blame virat. Personally i opinionate that "May be Kohli is backed up / having good support from some senior officials in BCCI which caused a committed coach like anil kumble to quit.

The one and only fault of Kumble - in there can be any at all - is his dedication to the job at hand and not for a CONTINUING FUTURE TERM FOR HIMSELF. Many coaches - foreign as well - of Indian teams have said there is a SUPERSTAR culture in Indian cricket team and establishment. The coach is not expected to be fully independent in attitudes, work culture and preparation. Kohli does come across as a more ARROGANT in many interviews and on field behavior than say Dhoni. Kumble always believed \"Agression is not teeling a player of opposition what I think of his mother but showing him what I think of him as a player when I bowl next to him\" Clearly this is not what Kohli believes or practices. This is also could be a clash between NORTH BOORISHNESS and SOUTH SOPHISTICATIN and culture. Since the Bombay group had been very effective in promoting and protecting Tendulkar to the exclusion of every other player and even the team - that the Superstar player culture has developed and got nurtured. Unless this another ploy to get a Bombay based guy in the coach job, it would be better to rid the team of the captain, rohit sharma, and have a NEW CAPTAIN, and CONTINUE KUMBLE on Kumbles terms. Continue Kohli as a player. He was anyway put in the seat as a Captain way too early. Make Rahane test Captain, Hardik as T20 captain and Dhawan as 50 over captain.

Nonesense. Think before you write. 3 different captain for India. Are you joking. Removing Kohli for one match doesnt make any sense. Captain should have aggressive attitude. Even Sourav Ganguly was aggressive. He was successful also.

WITH PAKISTAN ONE MATCH EQUAL TO WORLD CUP FINAL... OUR PLAYERS HAD LOT OF HEAD WEIGHTS. THEY DIDN'T USE RIGHT BOWLERS IN RIGHT TIME...LEFT ARM SEAM BOWLERS TO BE USED...BUT IN THAT MATCH NO LEFT ARM BOWLER.
When tiger P had slapped a team member for loafing out till late.
Today's captains and the centurions think they are the gods of cricket and beyond the disciplinary expectations of their coach.
This clan took the sacrifice of a coach full of patriotism and a an ex-cricketer full of patriotism.
The Board however lacks all these virtues and continues licking these flamboyant and often arrogant and undisciplined players.
If the boards fails to see the truth the cricket of Bharatvarsh is destined to be thrown overboard.
And the exclusive responsibility will be that of an indifferent and irresponsible board that has chosen, for some strange reasons, to appease the players.

He plays well in literally every match. Dont abuse him. Dont tell he is indisciplined. He is little aggressive thats it. Dont jump to the conclusion without knowing the proper fact. Do you know how much match india won because of him.
