SCOREBOARD PRESSURE

multiplies in a championship final. So batting first and putting runs and board makes sense. Yes advantage was handed over in a platter to Pakistan.

Kohli may be fine batsman but does not come across as as astute captain.

No fighting Spirit

Our captain had not defended the match.. he came on field with decision in mind to lose.. he might have his own reasons for that but not on the cost of the nation..

Poor decision
by ASHEESH KUMAR on Jun 20, 2017 02:43 PM

Why did he decideee to bowl first ? Defied logic. Our batsmen were in full form.Confidence was high. By choosing to field he went into a defensive mode. Pakistan seized the opportunity.

Poor planning
by abhirup on Jun 20, 2017 02:00 PM

decision was correct but execution & planning was poor. there shud be umesh/shami instead of ashwin. Umesh played well again Pak in 1st match & we played 3 fast bowler & 1 spinner. Due to poor planning Kumble shud resign.

weakness of indian team
by dhananjay kritu on Jun 20, 2017 02:00 PM

bowling was seen as a weakness even during Shri Lanka match we lost. Keeping that a back of mind, it was safer to bat first
