The cokiness of this captain even when writing was on wall is strange.He allowed match to slip the moment pakistan was given opprtunity to bat first.It was nothing but his arrogance that he can chase any score which backfired.His defence of Ashwin is nothing but blind support for a lost cause

As it is, Ashwin never performed overseas, especially outside sub continent, whether tests or ODIs or T20s. So no point in taking him overseas at all. This doesn't require any great knowledge of cricket to judge this. Any average cricket follower understands this.
So better, realise the facts and select teams on the basis of Horse for courses.

Let Kohli shut his mouth and don't debate on the failure in the final. If Aswin cannot take wickets on flat wicket how Pakistan bowlers bowled so well on the same pitch. Till final Indians have won because of batsman , bowlers failed utterly in this tournament.
