With the kind of form Pak was in , and in 2003 with the kind of strong Aussie line up, we would have lost whether batting or fielding first.
Winning and loosing, and yes loosing badly even is the part of the game - Indian Cricket Supporters should also learn to be fans of the game in true sense. Our players are brilliant and have performed consistantly for many many matches. Yesterday it was the opponent who played some brilliant cricket and it was not our day either, hence the loss. We have to take everything in our stride and carry on. We cannot disrespect our players who are carrying our nation's pride on their able shoulders. I stand by my country, my team in all weathers - Thanks to my Team for giving all those happy moments to cheer, and many more will come from you guys in future even. The failure of yesterdays match, was completely due to the team as a whole including the captain. I had written in an earlier forum , Virat should not think he is indispensable . In the last few months, IPL & now Champions trophy, success seems to have gone to his head. One of the main reasons for yesterdays failure, was rank bad captaincy , lower than a club level cricketer. He won the toss, why didnt the team bat ??? His bowlers were getting trashed , including Ashwin, why didnt he go for other options like Yuvraj/ Kedar earlier on???. Why was Ashwin given his full quota , when he was being trashed all over . Batting the least said the better. The body language of players like Dhoni, Yuvraj when batting were very poor to say the least.Immediately when Yuvraj got dismissed, Dhoni threw in the towel , with that rank bad shot . Rohit Sharma , the least said the better . Kohli ---ohhh--- I strongly feel the tournament as a whole was fixed , including the finals by a mind boggling amount.
