Five Lessons for Indian Cricket team from yesterday
by Aravind Raman on Jun 19, 2017 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

1.You can't just win all the time by batting second. The decision should be strategic and based on all influencing factors including pitch conditions (flat!), opposition team and weather.
2. Poor selection of team XI. Three spinners?! Pakistan is one of the better teams playing spin. That too it defies logic in flat conditions!
3.Losing the battle of nerves before the Pak scored 150 runs! Fielding and bowling started wilting under pressure. Look at the extras! Spinners bowling wides?! Deserve some dressing down! By the way, do you guys practice throwing the ball at stumps at all?! To top it all, poor shot selection and again looking edgy due to nerves! Indian team has been time and again exposed for its weakness against fast moving deliveries bowled by genuine pace bowlers!
4. Poor captaincy - No inventiveness...going as per set pattern! A Dhoni or Ganguly would have thought of bowling Yuvi or doing some strange thing (remember Joginder Sharma being asked to bowl). Looked like Kohli was simply overawed by Fakar and company!

5. Do not expose the divisions between the coach and captain and so on when an important series is underway. After all, it does affect the morale of the team!

even if india had batted 1st, we would have lost.
pak was determined team and has great bowling attack.
even if we had made 350(which any way was not possible), SL showed how it can be chased against our rubbish bowling.

KOHLI, DHONI, ROHIT SHARMA,YUVRAJ, DHAWAN, JADEJA ETC,. WERE ALL MADE CLOWNS BY IPL WITH THEIR PROMOTIONAL DANCES.
THEIR PLAY IN THE FINALS IS INEXCUSABLE. FOR THAT KIND OF PLAY, WHY DO YOU REQUIRE THEM, A SCHOOL TEAM WOULD HAVE FOUGHT BETTER. SHAME.
THEY SHOULD GO DROWN IN A DRAIN.

The humiliating defeat is susceptible to one of the two conclusions;-
either team India is more of gas than substance or
the matches are fixed. Either of the conclusions is disgrace for the team.

Happened to be a good WK & playing at 6th position Dhoni was able to perform better with least pressure which yielded good results hitherto.

whereas being the best batsman in the world, one down batsman he is expected to perform better than others. Captaining the team under pressure it affects his personal performance. Sachin & Dravid were good example for quitting captaincy .

HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN GANGULY...WITH OPENING AND DOWN HE PERFORMED SO WELL AS BATSMAN AND CAPATAIN...6 TH POSITION HAS MAX PRESSURE WITHOUT MUCH BATTING LEFT AND STILL WIN THE MATCH FOR THE INDIA...DHONI HAS DONE IT SO WELL UMPTEEN TIMES..

We had an outside chance of winning...

Had hardik pandya was there. he was going great guns & took a calculated risk on each & every over. becoz, off Ravindra jadeja he was run out. Actually it was definitely a one run. Atleast he (jadeja) should have sacrificed his wicket.

Absolutely...I was simply aghast and that shows the team dynamics in my view. I was really feeling pathetic when Hardik departed with understandable anguishT

india shall never ever win any ICC cricket final in future
by Dhantannan on Jun 19, 2017 08:22 AM  | Hide replies

because they believe batsmen win matches.
we have no bowling attack.
even if we score 400 plus opposition can knock down.
remember SL almost score 400 plus against us in rajkot.

said long ago that Indian commoners are among the stupxidest in the world !

The reason he put forward for his statement was that Indians keep re-electing thieves to power !

But, the stuxpidity of common Indians also is reflected in other ways.

They keep considering cricket players as demi gods and make them rich beyond their wildest imaginations.

They are so enamored with cricketers that they routinely pay thousands of rupees from their meagre earnings to watch Calcutta playing Mumbai and Hyderabad playing Chennai weeks on end !

They worship these players so much that TV channels charge some of the highest ad rates in the world just to allow Virat Kohli stare stupxidly into the camera ! The advertisers expect the commoner dunces to come rushing to buy up all their products following that stupxid stare of Virat Kohli in TV ads !

Komaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaali, you may be useless and jobless and can not afford anything except writing nonsense free of cost at Rediff but why you should be jealous of the people who spend their own money watching cricket ? It seem you are jealous of everything.
