Expectations
by M IYER on Jun 16, 2017 01:31 PM

Expectations are natural...but better if realistic. They, banged their own selves by going overboard with deriding Indian Cricket Team. I just would like to imagine the condition if India would have batter first.

I have only one thing to tell the Bangla fans, grow up, dont behave like school kids .Your team is playing well , but it doesnt mean that your team will beat each & every other team , day in & day out.
Learn to accept failures. All people want their respective teams to win, but not at the cost of making fun of the opposition .If you do that, that goes to show your mentality & understanding of the game.
Trust your team to do well , but at the same time learn to respect the opposition.

I think game should always be played in the spirit of game and not as a medium to downgrade others. A true sportsman spirit is to prepare best and try to deliver best but defeat shall also be accepted with dignity and shall be seen as inspiration to prepare and perform better

I dont think that Bangladesh should feel bad. They played well and reached to semi finals. Since five years now, they are playing well now. This is sports and no one should have emotional feeling. In fact they should feel proud that they have played semi finals and better than Australia, South Africa and England. Good progress by Bangladesh. Hope the same spirit will continue in future.

Ind-BD semi final

It was anticipated India would win. Only victory margin mattered. India won very nicely, but that doesn't mean to ridicule BD. In almost all the countries, cricket is taken as a sport in which one will win and other would lose. But Indians are treating win/loss very seriously. Unfortunately, players like Kohli who should teach other players also misbehaves. One should watch Dhoni behind the wicket. He never does such aggressive gestures. In the last two decades India has sufficient amount to waste on the game and they have made pitches suitable to practically all pitches in the world. They get good training. They get support from IPL also. Please note that BD does not have such luxury. Every year they suffer lot due to hurricanes etc. Their learning duration is much less. So naturally, if ten matches are played in between these countries, India would win at least 9. India has good fan support. From where they get money to buy tickets in country like England is a question. In yesterday's match, the ground had 90% Indian supporters. This is happening every where and would be happening for up coming match with Pak. On play ground, do not bring politics. Similarly, the media and other people should not criticize the losers.

Thats the problem with Indians. They just like to blame their own countrymen. Bangla memes were so insulting but phadnisji seems fine with that. I hope he had given so much gyan to Bangladesh also.

seems its you who is linking sports with politics, coz you cant digest this Indian Govt is spending so much money to improve the facilities given to our sports persons which our earlier Govts did never think about. It clearly shows your mindset that you are an anti Indian Govt person probably anti Modi person who always try to criticize such moves , may it be counter attack on pakistan, Demonetization ,Going abroad to improve india's position in the world etc etc. So i wanna tell you ,try to look beyond this dirty politics coz you are betraying India just becoz Modi is the head of Govt of India

Sir, this Govt is not doing great for sports, I am from sports industry. Can you imagine GST on Gymnastics, Athletics and Gym equipments is 28%. No representation has worked. Athletics is mother of all sports. Yet all athletic items will be taxed at 28%
