it is exactly rediff's idea to make it viral. we all know where rediff's sympathies and loyalty lies.
I have lived in BENGAL both the WHOLE and Divided since my childhood. To me Bengal and Bengalis came out as extremely cultured people. They have a great tradition of literature, dance, music and art. The East-Pakistanis who were essentially Bengalis though had converted to ISLAM, and which fact made them an excellent case for joining Pakistan, later realized that language, culture and way of life was way above religious madness that had consumed them for while. Now once again, as religious intolerance is gaining ground they seem to have once again have forgotten even normal decency while expressing their exuberance in dragging sports and sporting events into the lowest depth of degradation. My Bengali friends from Bangladesh please remember chopping heads and carrying it as trophy is the recent addition to ISLAMIC behaviour as made popular by ISIS. Build a nation my friends not by hating INDIA - a country which stood by you in gaining an identity which you had all but lost.

Why does everything to be given a religious twist? Cant we too have memes making fun of their team instead of harping on "giving them freedom" and "culture" and other inane things. Its a game after all.

Yes agree!! It should not be taken so serious. After all don't we make and enjoi fun of our PM, Leader of opositins, CMs etc.
