First of all the best answer to the media person; "Do you ask a male cricketer who their favourite female player is ?". Secondly where is Shobha De who is nothing else but blabber mouthed and Neeta Ambani who is only "Mumbai Indians" owner in commercialised IPL. And last but not the least these women cricketers are definitely not match fixers unlike their male counterparts. May India win the World Cup and bring laurels. At least our PM and newly elcted President should felicitate the entire team, should they win, forget the so called socialites and others, else felicitate Mithali Raj with whatever honour the government chooses. Fully agree. However, whether our Indian women win the World Cup or not, qualifying for the semi-finals along with European/Australian/South African teams itself is a big achievement, considering the poor support/infrastructure/recognition provided to them all these years.
Leave alone the media and BCCI, even those socalled feminists(women) who boost themselves never turnup for the women's matches. When there is no support and encouragement from their own females whom to blame?
I like Mithali more then Virat bcoz he is running behind money & she is behind cricket so, we are cricket lovers not any individual's character. !!! RIGHT !!!

They would certainly wish, if they too get equal recognition. Do they really get equal rights/rewards like male cricketers, in spite of their valuable contributions to women's cricket and bringing laurels to country?
Mithali Raj has every reason to question, have male cricketers been ever asked any time "Who is your favorite Female Cricketer?". That shows the real bias and neglect towards women cricketers who hardly get any credit. They do deserve equal respect/recognition like male counterparts.
WE must honour Mithali Raj for her great performance . We are giving so much prominence but neglecting women cricketers. It is high time that the Ministry of sports looks into the matter and rewards them with the honour they deserve.

Definitely she deserves more media attention. Overall average is outstanding and no one nearer to her. More than 75 is average when India won. Not only that, as a captain, average is also fantastic. A true player, a true winner and a true leader. Wish her all the best....
