Your own earlier article states The Board of Control for Cricket in India also said that the appointment of both Zaheer and Dravid was done after consulting new head coach Ravi Shastri.
ARE YOU SLIPPING REDIFF ?

One can not compare the quality of Arun kumar, Shastri's favourite as bowling coach who has played only two tests and two one days for India.

Head Coach-Unacceptable
by sachin walke on Jul 13, 2017 09:10 PM  | Hide replies

Ravi shastri is unacceptable. he is playing politics which is not good for indian cricket. he should respect Zaheer , best bowler india produce after kapil.
this is very unfortunate, Shastri as a cricketer not so effective, have poor records, he only suitable to give commentary , & not capable as a lead coach, shastri does not want cricketer who is better than him, because he himself know he is incapable. very unfortunate.

He wanted guarantee that if he is only appointed as coach, he will apply for the post. He was very sure from the beginning about his appointment as he is the biggest chamchagiri of the top officials of the board who always want their loyal chamchagiri to get power, perks and position all the time. If he was decided well in advance why the others were invited to give their application ? This was nothing but a staged drama to fool the people of this country.

New Head Coach for Indian Cricket Team

We need to wait and watch if Shastri-Kohli combination will scale mount everest or fall into deep valley.
Indian cricket first of all needs to be liberated from the sharks of people like Shastri, Gavaskar, etc., who have been ruling the roost for so many years playing politics enriching themselves and destroying the careers of so many youngsters.

Indian Team Coach

I remember long back that when Col. Hemu Adhikari was the Manager of Indian Team, he made Pataudi run around the ground 5 circles for coming late to the ground for practice and Pataudi, even though he was one of the best players and capitain of the team at that time, still carried out the instructions of the Manager. That was discipline. Today capitains decide who should be the coach.

Ravi Shastri does not want anybody in the coaching team who has 100% better cricketing records than him. It's sad that people with such mindset will be the coach of the Indian team

Shastri is capitulating everything keeping Kohl's suport in front just making kohli a shikhandi of mahabharat. Shastri knows his inability to help the team anything in terms of cricket.
He wants to enjoy the life free of cost gathering support in being a maharastrian as he got recently from tendulkar & gavaskar
