To appoint Shastri as master coach is a joke. What this ex.average bowler,boring batsman and lousy fielder will do to inspire long and talented Indian team ? What is the meaning of head coach ? He will be head coach for the name sake and as usual as per his habit ,he will continue his chamchagiri which he is doing with top board officials also do with Kohli to secure his future position,perks and remuneration. It is a shame for the people who think this opportunist and useless undeserving man become head(?) Coach

Your description fits draavvid only. He was the laziest of all in the Indian Team walking from 1st slip to the 1st slip at the other end. Never ran after a ball that was to be fielded. Cannot shoulder responsibility as he gave up captaincy after disgracefully pulling it out of Ganguly under the directions of greg chappal. I only hope that match-fixing will not be there like Rajasthan Royals when he was the captain. But he is a good actor and gullible people will fall for it.

Ultimately Maharashtra lobby. Shastri the laziest heavy frog in the field pushed by Gavaskar & Sachin - all being maharashtrian. Two more posts added, what an wastage of money. It's shame for BCCI.
They will never perform in big contests as usual. ICC champions trophy finals have proved beyond doubt that Kohli $ company are incapable of bringing trophies . Mere changing coaches will not change that all of a sudden .....
So we now have a batting coach, a fielding coach and a bowling coach, with Ravi Sastri as the Ring Master of the Great Indian Cricket Circus. Let's see what they produce. Ha ha ha
