Even among the few who have posted so far, there are difference of opinions. Almost all those who are contenders are suggested by at least one of the them. This proves that it is purely subjective. So the selection panel members have all rights to select who ever they feel good. Let us not abuse in the name of comments. No body can be perfect.
Its yet, another example of putting self interest ahead of country's interest.
Shastri trappppped Kohaliii.
Now, Kumble will remain India's most successful coach in the history of Indian cricket ever. (Pls Don't count finals of Ind-Pak - as he was not in charge practically)

If a coach is not in charge practically, why doesn't BCCI carry out lottery among the candidates
The entire episode (involving Kumble ji) was to accommodate Ravi Shastri. He wants to be in limelight only (even at the cost of performance of our teams) There is pure politics in Indian cricket and I repeat pure politics. This would certainly take our teams to still lower levels.
other than Ravi Shastri. The coach can not be appointed to the likes of the captain and players. If it is so, then no need for this committee. Appoint anybody else and see if Kohli and players can get adjusted. If not, sack Kohli and all the other players will get the message loud and clear.
Change in the captain too please .. KOHLI is a wonderful player ... but has limited skills to manage the team ....little arrogant but we have to live with it . Please don't quote me " he is the best batsman avaialble"

Foreign coach is OK, but not an Australian. We have bad experience with Greg Chappel. He demoralized Ganguly, destroyed Irfan Pathan, created divide and rule policy. Australians work for Australian Supremacy in world cricket. They can be accommodated upto IPL team level.

You cannot put all Australians in bad light only for Greg Chappell, that is not justice. But still I would like a South African- Gary Kirsten worked well and current Pak coach is also a South African
