Kedhar jadav scored better than Kohli in that same match. Then would you say, he is better than kohli?? There was not even a single player who can play better and took off the pressure from sachin in his time. All the pressure was on him only and he needed to score every match like a robot. but today the situation is not like that.

Then let Kohli break the records of Lara and viru in tests and Devilliers and Rohit in one dayers. Then we shall try to accept him as a better player than sachin. These numbers of kohli cant be compared to sachin because the situation is totally different.

kohli is much much much betteerrr and best batsman then tendlukar as he is world class player in all formats of cricket and he isplaying like anything...all world cricket eyes on kohlis game nad all are so much impressed that enow everyone is telling is he will play like this for another 5 years than he will register all world record sin his name in all formats.....of cricket.. if he will be given enuf opportunities and fair chances than definitley he will be the legend in world cricket afetr 10 years of time..people will forget all big names and tsart praising kohli...he is master class palyer and dynamic cricketer...all d best to him...

Completely agree. In terms of technique Tendulkar was just above average while playing genuine fast bowlers, though he played with a helmet

There was not even a sinle player to score better than sachin in his time. If he got out early means the team will be bundled out cheaply. so sachin has to keep his wicket stay and score at a higher strike rate and rotate strike regularly to protect his partner. Is such kind of miracle challenge is possible in every match?? But sachin accepted it and tried to match it. Hats off to him. so, dont compare sachin with anyone because you dont know the history.

You just check the records of player contribution in winning cases in both sachin era and kohli era. Then you will get the report. Dravid and laxman, ganguly were came later and they were not effective onedayers in beginning. Sehwag, yuvraj and dhoni came very later but that was the better team performance era.

if Tendulkar is greater than kohli due to era he played then I think Gavaskar is way ahead of Tendulkar with quality bolwer in west indies he played that too without helmet and many place with his defence saved the match

Not true. His average was high during chasing too but during crunch situations and when pressure was high, he was not able to finish games unlike Kohli or Dhoni. Technique wise, Sachin is the best. Its also true Sachin scored in all conditions against the best bowlers and on tough pitches for 26 years. It will be tough for any batsman to match that.

Tendulkar never played against the likes of Andy Robers, Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Deniss Lillee , Jeff Thomson. Also he was not comfortable against bowlers of his era which were genuinely fast even though he played with a helmet.

Getting out LBW to a ball hitting on the shoulder does not qualify a technically better player. Sayad daru ke wajah se aap bhul gaye ki yeh ghatna ghati thi jab McGrath ne out kiya tha

Sachin made 175 while chasing 351 in odi, 119 while chasing 408 in eng in test, 103 while chasing 387 vs eng in test...
need more examples ???? :)

Sachin scored 4 while chasing a target of 359 and got out to McGrath in 2003 WC final. Mere Statistics does not only indicate a batsman is good or average, we also need to check under what circumstances he contributed against what type of attack. Getting out LBW to a ball hitting on the shoulder means the bowler worked out the batsman realizing he is not comfort against short pitch ball therefore he indicated he is bowling a bouncer but bowls it slightly shorter.
