Resignation of Sharad P:awar as President of MCA
by Ramamurthy Venkateswaran on Jan 16, 2017 03:55 PM

While the Supreme Court has accepted the recommendations of the Committee chaired by Justice (Retd.) Lodha, cricket or for that matter sports as such has gone into the hands of some others other than administrators of the game. Not withstanding the highest level of play during the playing time of some of our cricketers, a majority of them lack administrative experience as an administrator has. If in the opinion of the Supreme Court, the retired judicial officers could manage the game, without having played any game, is there anything wrong with the politicians being involved in the games administration? If the (politicians) administrators manage the game, so also the sports persons and the retired judges. Mere legal knowledge or transparency does not elevate a game. A weaker division requires a fillip, an upcoming cricketer or a sports person requires a little different treatment from the rest, which an experienced administrator could do. Anyhow, the game has lost good administrators like Shri Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan, IS Bindra, notwithstanding the fact that they have played games among themselves. The judiciary didn't react when persons like Chautala, Kalmadi, et. al. were made Life presidents of the Indian Olympic Association.

Sharad Pawar, a Pillar of Political party NCP (ex-Congress Man), is Alien to Cricket, I challenge that, he do not know the minimum basics of Cricket like holding the Bat,or abt feilding, bowling etc. In my view, futher, he is ignorant about basic cricketing rules for e.g what is a front foot no ball, above the shoulder height no ball.what is the distinction between two. Why do not a batsman run, when he has asked a runner to run for him. Diffrence for wide ball in TEST & ODI. Power Play, Duck Worth Lewis system for deciding match results. The new referral system of umpiring decision i.e Hawk Eye or DRS.etc etc. He is totally Unfit for Cricket, leave aside Being BCCI Chief. Apex Courts\'s Judges to whom the age limit is not fixed, are damp squib. They r online with Sharad. Thus, IN My view Combinedly they have no place in Cricket or voluntarily they should not accept, if they r given one. I still remember the Day when Australia won the Champions Trophy beating India. The only trophy which eluded them, rest all bagged. \"PUNTER\" The then skipper in gr8 style climbed the Podium to receive the Trophy from Sharad.Admist a uproar from the stands. Sharad was literally pushed out of the stage by \'PUNTER\'. Who cared a Damn about the person who gave the trophy.
Cricketers like Punter, Dada 2 name a few can decorate the position & no one else.

It is not a selfless resignation. He discovered that MCA has little or no money for him to funnel out. Had it been the case of BCCI, he would have done everything to remain in post for the same reason (MONEY).

Yes.His selfishness can be seen through his act where he got out of congress to oppose Sonia only to partner with her later to continue his looting spree. Will there be any enquiry into the wealth of Pawar and his family members.May happen if Dr.Swamy is made as FM
