Sack him not just because of the poor pitch as reported by ICC match referee but because of the intrigue and covert fashion the entire pitch was prepared as reported in the media.In fact Ajay Shirke has called for CBI probe on the process of communications,internal noting etc.This column too reports of some phone calls from some sr functionaries.Cricket bodies can't function in such opaque fashion.It has to have proper transparent system.
Indian Captain is to be blamed for being non-serious about taking enough care and not putting enough time in planning and preparedness , taking care of pitches is one of those things where the captain need to put his head much ahead of the series ....specially yes specially against AUSSIEs ;

Mr Shilpa: Well sad. Indian batsmen can not even play ordinary spinners. :-) Just think what will happen if Team India actually meets a strong team. Ha ha ha
So India lost the test match. Take it on the chin and move on Kohli and Company. You and the rest of the group which handles Indian cricket hunting for the sacrificial lamb makes you look like cry babies. Just admit Australia defeated you at your own game of preparing pitches that help spin and thinking that touring teams do not do their homework on our players
