Wow what analysis bro. India has been shown up for what they are. Just a bunch of incompetent, technically useless players who can win only against Bangladesh & Zimbabwe. England made the wrong choice in terms of captain or else they too could have drubbed us. The day is not far off when Bangladesh will hand us a drubbing in our own backyard. If we are to look impartially the best team in the sub continent is Pakistan as they have top class bowlers & gutsy batsmen, not cowards.

Key
by MNN on Feb 28, 2017 10:30 AM  | Hide replies

The Key of the last victory by the Aussies lay in its preparations. They kept their dubai sojourn pr etty loe key , so as not to attract attention.
Remember what Sriram said , they had preparations on all kinds of tracks , turner, low bounce, unprepared pitches etc. That was the ky & then adapting & adopting the methods learnt from that experience .
Honestly for me Jadeja & the other new comer are no spinners .But Lyon & O Keefe are much better than these 2 .
Lack of preparations/over confidence & the will power lacking to stay on the pitch while batting where the 3 reasons for the debacle.
Also with such a momentum in their favor , i would rate the Aussies the walk away the cake for this Test series, unless India conjures up something out of the blue.

Our cricketers too are now preparing for their next match by going to trekking at Pune. All the best to them. Where is our spin great Harbhajan who reported to have lebelled tourists as the weakest team ever visited India from Australia.? How does it feel when we had humiliating defeat in the hands of "weekest team"

The turbaned criminal called Harbhajan must be running for cover. Steve Smith scored a magnificent 100 whereas the great Kohli was not able to put bat to ball.

India would certainly have won the test had Sriram not given any inputs to the Aussies !

Sriram's inputs were not that critical. India was thrashed by a better team. Australia are going to murder India in this series.

Oh come on that's a bit far fetched. Y can't we just accept that we were beaten by a team which was better prepared than us. ANd lots not blamed the goddamn pitch.... This is India and we should be prepared to face the music... So sit up Indians take a break & come back hard in the next test!!!!

Wake up call but 4-0 defeat staring in the face of Kohli
by Inzy Bhai on Feb 28, 2017 07:50 AM  | Hide replies

This hammering by the Aussies will not be forgotten in a hurry & will impact as the series moves along. Sachin is hoping against all hope when he says that the series is not lost as in his heart he knows for sure that a drubbing like this creates a mental block. Remember on this wicket Steve Smith scored a century which means he is a far better batsman than Kohli who was not able to put bat to ball. Our bowlers looked like lost lambs & that so called great bowler Ashwin was totally pathetic on a rank turner.

I remember one thing though that when Pakistan were being pummelled in Australia everyone on this board was rejoicing. Today all of Pakistan must be laughing at our predicament because even Sri Lanka thrashed Australia 3-0 last year in their own country. At least Pakistan fought hard & almost defeated the Aussies in the first test but the Indians succumbed like scumbags. My prediction is India will lose the series 4-0 & will mark the end of Kohli's career.

rightly said.. although 4-0 score line can not be predicted in favor of Aussies. India will exercise it's control over playing conditions/wickets.

India's debacle at Pune
by S.N.Ganesan on Feb 27, 2017 09:16 PM

Media is vying with one another to show case the participation of Sridharan Sriram in shaping Aussie
spin bowlers as to how to bowl on turning wickets. Truth is that he taught Aussie batsmen as how to bat against Indian spinners on a turning wicket. When a touring team capitalizes on the wisdom of not-so-famous cricketer, what the so-called think tank of Indian Team doing? Moreso, the current coach is veteran of many battles and is termed above the spin trio of Prasanna, Bedi and Chandra. Was it Kumble not being to able to assess.Or his boys did not listen to him? He must hv come to the fore immediately after the first session on Day 1? What was he doing with his lap top?

There is nothing wrong in Sriram coaching the Aussies. India has also employed foreign coaches. Indians have coached foreign teams earlier too. Let's not blame the opposition for being prepared. If we are the best players of spin as we claim to be, then our batsmen should have played better. Knowing well that a former India spinner is coaching the Aussies, if our guys have not made counter preparations, then its fully our fault.
