People seem to think that umesh has improved a lot and also that kohli is responsible for it.
the fact is his record since kohli has become captain in tests is very poor. in fact ishant is more successful than umesh....
so far in his 28 tests he has taken 75 wickets. he has played 10 tests under dhoni and 17 under kohli...in the 10 tests that dhoni was captain umesh took 40 wickets in 18 innings which is way better than under kohli ..under kohli captaincy umesh has played in 17 tests 33 innings with just 33 wickets that is just 1 wicket per innings...even ishant takes more wickets per innings than umesh...
